Over the last few days, I have definitely felt one of those lows. I received feedback about structure, pacing, and character development, and even though it was thoughtful and honest, it made me stop and question everything. What if it is not good enough? What if people read it and hate it?

It's Christmas Eve! Last week has been busy in the run-up to Christmas. I finished work until January, planned a staff quiz night, and now I'm back at my parents' for the Christmas holidays! You can bet I'm lounging around in jogging bottoms, watching Christmas films, and arguing. It's so funny how quickly you regress back after a day of being back at your parents'! This is me saying hello and explaining how I accidentally ended up writing a novel. I’ve always loved telling stories, from bizarre childhood picture books to scripts and short films best left unseen. After a lot of doubt, rejection, and “why not?” moments, I finished my first book and decided to self-publish it. This blog is where I’m documenting the chaos, the joy, and everything in between.
